Gold

by: Nia Amira Najwa binti Azmi

Gold is a chemical element with the symbol Au (from Latin: aurum) and atomic number 79, making it one of the higher atomic number elements that occur naturally. In a pure form, it is a bright, slightly reddish yellow, dense, soft, malleable, and ductile metal. Chemically, gold is a transition metal and a group 11 element. It is one of the least reactive chemical elements and is solid under standard conditions. Gold often occurs in free elemental (native) form, as nuggets or grains, in rocks, in veins, and in alluvial deposits. It occurs in a solid solution series with the native element silver (as electrum), naturally alloyed with other metals like copper and palladium and also as mineral inclusions such as within pyrite. Less commonly, it occurs in minerals as gold compounds, often with tellurium (gold tellurides).

Gold is resistant to most acids, though it does dissolve in aqua regia (a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid), which forms a soluble tetrachloroaurate anion. Gold is insoluble in nitric acid, which dissolves silver and base metals, a property that has long been used to refine gold and to confirm the presence of gold in metallic substances, giving rise to the term acid test. Gold also dissolves in alkaline solutions of cyanide, which are used in mining and electroplating. Gold dissolves in mercury, forming amalgam alloys, and as the gold acts simply as a solute this is not a chemical reaction.

A relatively rare element, gold is a precious metal that has been used for coinage, jewelry, and other arts throughout recorded history. In the past, a gold standard was often implemented as a monetary policy, but gold coins ceased to be minted as a circulating currency in the 1930s, and the world gold standard was abandoned for a fiat currency system after 1971.

A total of 197,576 tonnes of gold exists above ground, as of 2019. This is equal to a cube with each side measuring roughly 21.7 meters (71 ft). The world consumption of new gold produced is about 50% in jewelry, 40% in investments, and 10% in industry.[9] Gold's high malleability, ductility, resistance to corrosion and most other chemical reactions, and conductivity of electricity have led to its continued use in corrosion resistant electrical connectors in all types of computerized devices (its chief industrial use). Gold is also used in infrared shielding, colored-glass production, gold leafing, and tooth restoration. Certain gold salts are still used as anti-inflammatories in medicine. As of 2017, the world's largest gold producer by far was China with 440 tonnes per year.

These In-Demand Digital Skills Are Exactly What M’sian & ASEAN Employers Are Looking For

By : Husna Hysham

As we have spent more than a year shifting between various states of the MCO, most of us have not stepped into the office for a long while. There may even be new colleagues who have never been to the office and you have no idea what they look like!

From June 2020 to April 2021, MDEC reported that there was a 300% increase in digital job vacancies on five different platforms.

These job listings don’t only come from the IT companies but also from companies dealing with marketing, cosmetics, music and tobacco. Other than that, MDEC has also identified that there are more than 240,000 of these digital talents that are spread out in Selangor, KL, Johor, Penang and Melaka. The most popular job posts for these digital talents are executives, specialists, digital marketing managers, data scientists, software engineers, head of digital divisions and YouTubers.

Data from LTI also showed that since a year ago, there has been an increase of 20 to 30% of freelancers/ YouTubers.

As the job market is ever-competitive and rapidly changing, we must continue to equip ourselves with skills to make sure that we’re a step ahead.

Learn This Simple Recipe and You'll Never Make a Bad Salad Again

 by: Hanis Sophia

Making a salad isn't all that tough. If we told you differently, we'd be lying. (Although we can't help but mention some of the embarrassing ways it may go wrong—worth it's a refresher every now and again.)
But just because it's simple doesn't mean you're doing it well.We don't just want you to create a good salad; we want you to produce the finest freaking salad of your life every time. That's why we devised this foolproof method for creating the ideal salad. Learn the fundamentals and you'll be able to riff indefinitely.

Here's what every salad should have:

Greens/Raw/Grilled/Roasted/Pickled Vegetables

[Vinaigrette/Creamy] Dressing

[Seeds/Nuts/Croutons/Granola] Crunchies

Protein Optional [Meat/Cheese/More Cheese]

Extras (optional) [Herbs/Fruit/Grains/Etc.]

=Salads!

Choose at least one, if not all of the following:

Greens: Most people think of raw greens when they hear the word "salad," and for good reason: most greens are best eaten fresh.Choose soft lettuce leaves and greens, such as spinach, Bibb, or Little Gem, for more delicate salads; spicy or bitter greens, such as arugula, dandelion greens, or chicory, for bossy vinaigrettes; or strong greens, such as tarragon, for robust vinaigrettes.

Raw: Lettuce and greens aren't the only vegetables that may be eaten raw.
To make fibrous vegetables more appealing, use a vegetable peeler (looking at you, asparagus).
Chop crunchy veggies, such as kohlrabi, into bite-size pieces and toss them in.
For commonly prepared vegetables, such as beets and squash, slice or grate them extremely thinly to make them simpler to digest.

Grilled veggies, such as alliums, squash, eggplant, and others, provide smokiness and, depending on how aggressive you go, a beautiful char. If you can imagine anything, you can grill it (yes, even greens)—so, as long as your Weber is ready, put those veggies on the grill.

Roasted: If you can grill it, you can roast it, as the adage goes. At the very least, it's become a catchphrase. Reduce the amount of oil used so that your veggies aren't weighed down by fat.

Pickled veggies give a foul, fermented touch to the dish and significantly increase the taste. Combine them with fresh veggies or greens for a one-two punch; they're too strong to make a complete salad.

The Garnish

Your salad is nothing more than a forlorn bowl of veggies without a dressing.

Select one

A typical vinaigrette is created using fat and acid; usually, olive oil and either vinegar or lemon juice.
These days, though, you can be creative with your vinaigrettes. Feel free to experiment with other vinegars and citrus juices, as well as heated bacon fat (which will solidify at room temperature).

Thick and Creamy: Hearty salads with bold flavours can hold their own against creamy, rich dressings like ranch or buttermilk. Not sure what dressing to use on your salad? This guide explains everything in detail.

Thick and Creamy: Hearty salads with bold flavours can hold their own against creamy, rich dressings like ranch or buttermilk. Not sure what dressing to use on your salad? This guide explains everything in detail.

Crunchies are a type of snack. Having something to truly sink your teeth into enhances the flavour of any salad.

Choose at least one, if not all of the following:

Pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, flax seeds (use sparingly; too many can taste fishy), sunflower seeds, and hemp seeds are some of our favourites.

Toasted nuts: To bring out their taste, toast them first, then slice them for easy nibbles.

Croutons: We like handmade croutons. Use whatever old loaf of bread you have on hand. Alternatively, pita bread!

We always keep a batch of savoury granola on hand. It's flavorful thanks to the cayenne pepper and fennel.

Optional Items

You might easily end there. But why not turn it into a meal?

Select as many as you like.

Fresh herbs: Toss in a large handful of tender and soft herbs such as mint, parsley, cilantro, and basil.
These work best with mild vinaigrettes rather than heavy dressings.

Think beyond the berry when it comes to fruit. Why not, if it's ripe and ready? Choose fruits that match the rest of your components in flavour. Avocado, indeed, counts. Dried fruit, such as raisins, dried cranberries, or dehydrated apple, is also delicious.

Protein: Cold leftover roasted chicken, hot and crispy ground lamb, poached eggs, pretty much any cheese you can think of... a little protein goes a long way when it comes to filling out a salad. But let the veggies be the spotlight; an ax-handle steak has a time and a place, and it's not on your greens.

Grains and Carbohydrates: The simplest method to bulk out a salad is to add a little amount of cooked grains, such as quinoa, bulgur, couscous, barley, farro, wheat berries...you get the idea. Be aware that the grains will absorb more dressing than the vegetables, so adjust appropriately.

5 Things Only Malaysians Who Watch Football Are Crazy Enough To Do

 Written by Nanthini Suresh

We’ve all heard of how hyper dedicated fans of anything popular can be. But none of them are as hardcore as football fans, especially Malaysians, who throughout the history of the sport have done some crazy things all for the sake of supporting their favourite teams and enjoying the sport with like-minded people.

If you don’t believe us, let’s look at some of the (pre-MCO) things Malaysians were willing to do for the sport they love:

1. They’re willing to sit through horrendous traffic to catch a match at their favourite mamak

If you live in areas like Bangsar or Sunway, we’re pretty sure you’ve come across heavy traffic on nights where there’s a big football match happening. There’s not much you can do but sit in the jam until you pass it, unless you’re also on the way to a popular makan spot to watch the match too.

2. They arrive a few hours before the match to ‘chup’ a good table

Malaysian football fans are an extremely patient bunch who will show up at a mamak or any other venue that broadcasts live football matches to book a good table with a good view. If you were ever looking for a late-night mamak snack during football season, we suggest you just tapau your food and eat at home.

3. They can stay up super late and still go to work the next day or take MC

In fact, some of them don’t even sleep. The ones who cannot be bothered to go to work the next day will just apply for medical leave or emergency leave on the eve of a big football match. Speaking from experience, ahem.

It’s a good thing UEFA EURO 2020 is happening during FMCO! We can sneak in some short naps while we work from home after catching a late-night game. 😛

4. They can debate better than a professional debate team

God forbid if you ever disagree with a kiasu Malaysian football fan’s opinion on the game, or their favourite team. Even if you have some knowledge of football and you’re looking to argue with a hardcore fan, you’ll most likely be on the losing side because they will spew out all the facts, statistics and even history of the game just to prove you wrong. Just don’t argue with them.

5. Switching their phones off during a match so no one can kacau them

It can get quite annoying when your friend, boss calls or girlfriend you during a big football match. It especially doesn’t help when your boss calls you after working hours during MCO just because he knows you have your work laptop with you. Well, to remedy that, some Malaysians resort to switching off their mobile phones during a match so that no one can disturb them! NO. ONE.

For Malaysian, Football Matches are celebration. Many are waiting for the moment to MCO ends and get back to Mamak restaurant to watch the games.

Easy Fix Resolves the Recent Android Auto Music Listening Problems

By: Megat Harris Iskandar

“Same issue here. When listening to the Spotify app directly, I can use the steering wheel/radio controls to skip or pause a song. However, when listening to Spotify through Android Auto, the steering wheel buttons do not respond. I am able to skip/pause using the phone screen,” someone says in a post on Google’s forums.

The issue was first reported in December, though it’s still not clear if Android Auto is the one to blame or the culprit is a recent Spotify update for Android devices.

In the meantime, the good news is users can fix the whole thing themselves, and it all comes down to a simple downgrade of the app. In other words, you need to remove the latest version of Spotify and go back to an earlier release, as the issue appears to impact only the most recent update of the music service.

One user explains on Google’s forums that the latest version known to work correctly on Android Auto, and therefore allowing music playback controls via the steering wheel buttons, is 8.5.85.0, which was shipped in mid-November, so what you need to do is uninstall the current build, head over to this page to get the old version APK, and then manually install Spotify on your device.

Needless to say, you also need to block app updates from the Google Play Store to make sure Spotify doesn’t get updated to the latest version.

Neither Spotify nor Google acknowledged the problems so far, so you’d better not hold your breath for an official fix.

Benefit exercise in Gym

by: Nia Amira Najwa binti Azmi

There are lots of decisions to make when you first take up exercise. Are you going to exercise at home, outdoors or in the gym? Are you going to exercise alone, in a team or with a training buddy? Every type of training has its own advantages. You decide which type of exercise is best for you. However, we can tell you that exercising in a gym has a lot of advantages.

 1. A wide range of equipment

Of course, you can use an exercise bike at home, but then you only have one piece of equipment. Gyms have lots of different equipment, offering you endless options. No matter what you want to focus on, your gym will have the right equipment. It’s a lot less boring!

2. Always exercise using the best equipment

The equipment in gyms is always high-quality. More often than not, the exercise equipment is state-of-the-art. Can you say the same about your exercise bike?

3. You can always ask for help

If you are not sure how to do a certain exercise or how to use certain equipment, you can always ask for help! Our gym staff as well as your fellow gym users are more than happy to help.

4. Group classes

If exercising on your own is not your thing, or if you prefer to do something different, gyms also offer a variety of group exercise classes. Exercising as part of a group can be great fun. You can try all the different exercise classes that are available. If you would rather do something else, then you can just try a different class the following week!

5. It’s a good place to meet new people

The gym is not only a place where you come to exercise, it is also a great place to meet new people. Many people have found friendship - and some even love - at the gym!

6. Motivation

Training with other people can be an enormous motivator to help you push yourself that little bit harder! Even if you don't train together, the presence of other people in the gym can have a positive effect.

'Tokyo Ghoul' will make you question who the true monsters are.

 by: Hanis Sophia

A “ghoul” was originally an Arabic folklore creature who feasted on the flesh of the living or the dead, depending on the storey. If Kentaro Hagiwara's spine-chilling "Tokyo Ghoul" is any indicator, the corpse-munching version grew more popular in the West but not in Japan.

“Tokyo Ghoul,” based on a manga by Sui Ishida, takes place in an alternate modern-day Japan where people cohabit uncomfortably with ghouls that appear and act like their human hosts but only devour human flesh. Ghouls live in the shadows with their own kind, which they recognise by different markings such as tentacle-like organs called kagune that erupt from their backs when they are awakened to eat or fight.

After a terrifying near-death experience, Ken Kaneki (Masataka Kubota), a weak college guy, transforms into a half-ghoul. Ken tries to gain acceptance in the ghoul underworld, which is sceptical of his human side, while keeping his ghoul side concealed from his best friend Hide (Kai Ogasawara).
Meanwhile, he agonises about his dual identities, starting with his insatiable need for flesh.

This may make “Tokyo Ghoul” sound like a rip-off of Takashi Yamazaki's 2014 SF/fantasy two-parter “Parasyte,” which also featured a trapped-between-two-worlds hero, a dystopian Japan, and tentacles.
However, first-time filmmaker Hagiwara avoids the awful excess of the “Parasyte” flicks (especially the melodramatic second part), keeping the action crisp and the suspense strong.

Moreover, “Tokyo Ghoul” accurately follows the contours of the manga's plot while portraying its characters, both ghoul and human, in sympathetic shades of grey. Given the numerous images of ghouls voraciously chewing body parts as their owners scream and writhe, this understanding attitude may appear unusual, but the film portrays the ghouls' food choices as a sad fate rather than twisted fetish.

The unhappy Ken evokes a strange combination of fear and sympathy as he tries and fails to push regular food down his throat: it's as if he's spitting his humanity on the kitchen floor. He's not your typical movie ghoul, and his pain may be difficult to see.

“Tokyo Ghoul” delivers up exciting confrontations between Ken and his fellow ghouls and their human opponents for action lovers with robust constitutions. Toka Kirishima (Fumika Shimizu), a fiery-eyed high school girl who works with Ken at a ghoul café and becomes his kick-ass martial arts coach, is one of the former.

Among the latter are the silver-haired Mado (Yo Oizumi) and the tall Amon (Nobuyuki Suzuki), two anti-ghoul cops. They chase their prey relentlessly, armed with strange weapons. Although the outcomes are seldom in question, I was shocked to find myself rooting for the ghouls rather than humanity's grim-faced defenders.

With its copious use of creepy-looking CG, “Tokyo Ghoul” clearly hopes to entice local audiences away from Hollywood effects extravaganzas, yet its core message is anything but dazzling.
“Beyond a certain frequency, need knows absolutely no limit or control,” William S. Burroughs famously said.‘Wouldn't you?' says someone in desperate need. 'You would,' I'm sure.

Why Your Dog Will Improve Your Quality Of Life

Written by Nanthini Suresh

As a furry pup lover, there is no doubt in my mind that having a dog brings many upsides to my life. I mean, how can I NOT live happily waking up to a smiley face and wagging tail? For those of you who do not yet have a furry friend, or who are planning on adding one to your family, you’ll be glad to hear that there are scientifically proven benefits that dogs bring to each of our lives! So if you’re looking for reasons to get a dog, here’s 10!

1. Dogs increase your mood dramatically!

Spending just 15-30 minutes with your dog can help you feel more calm and relaxed, reducing stress and increasing happiness. Playing with your pup increases your brain’s levels of dopamine and serotonin, both of which are neurotransmitters associated with pleasure and tranquility. So the next time you’re feeling down, grab the newest toy from your BarkBox and spend some time with your pup! That wagging tail will be sure to put a smile on your face.

2. Having a dog may help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Studies show that talking to and petting your pooches are often accompanied by lower blood pressure, and that means a lowered risk for a myriad of different illnesses

3. Step aside, kitties! Dogs protect children from skin conditions and allergies

Children who grow up with dogs have a lower risk of developing eczema than those who have cats or no dogs at all. Yes, it’s true! In addition, children also develop fewer pet allergies if they grow up with a dog.

4. Having a dog improves your physical wellbeing and encourages a healthy fitness routine.

Of course! Your dog requires daily exercise, and so do you! Dog owners carry the responsibility of playing with and working their dogs, so it only makes sense that dog people tend to be more active.

5. Humans with dogs recover more quickly from illnesses.

Dog owners have a much higher rate of recovery from being sick than non-dog owners. In fact, humans with pooches who suffered from heart attacks were twice as likely to fully recover than those without!

6. Dogs make excellent service and alert animals.

Canines make excellent service companions when trained properly for people with disabilities. They can be trained to bring medication, alleviate a stressful situation for their human, and even detect an approaching epileptic seizure.

7. Children with dogs in their household miss less school.

Yes, it’s true. We all know that children absolutely adore pups, but research has shown that children from dog-owning families have better school attendance due to better overall health and less sickness from having a pup at home.

8. But wait, there’s more (for your kids)!

Having dogs has actually been shown to improve a child’s self-esteem, and makes issues that cause stress easier to handle.

9. Simply put, they are a human’s best friend.

Because of their heightened sense of smell, sight, and hearing, dogs are extremely intelligent creatures with a loyalty to their humans that is unexpectedly strong. Those with dogs will know–your pups can sense human body language, emotions, and feelings, and this paves the way for an unbreakable bond.

10.There’s never a dull or boring moment.

Have you ever found yourself sitting at home, wondering what to do today? There are so many things you can do with your dog, whether that be taking a trip to the park, training, playing, running, or just watching them chew a toy. It’s all fun, for both of you.

Those magical, euphoric feelings sweeping over you while bonding with your dog are not just in your imagination. Locking eyes with your furry friend and gazing lovingly into that adorable face triggers the release of oxytocin, the “feel good” drug into your system.

Addicting, yes, but harmful? No! This calm and happy high is 100% natural, and available to you right now at your neighborhood shelter or animal rescue.

You May Know PMS, But Did You Know There’s A Disorder That’s Even Worse?

By : Husna Hysham

Most people know about Premenstrual Syndrome or more commonly known as PMS. However, PMS branches out into a condition called Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) which is similar but worse than PMS.

PMDD symptoms can disrupt one’s daily life and the individual’s mental wellbeing. The symptoms typically start during the luteal phase (after ovulation and before period) in the menstrual cycle. PMDD usually goes away after two to three days of menstruation.

It is unknown what causes PMDD and PMS. Researchers think that it may be due to the change in hormonal levels a woman experiences during the menstrual cycle and some females are more sensitive/susceptible to the changes. Others believe that it may be caused by genetics.

We know that what you’re going through is not easy and for most people, it may be unfathomable. However, you don’t need to keep it all to yourself as there are always people out there who will listen to you. They can be your friends, family members or Befrienders.

Digital Version School Textbook

By: Megat Harris Iskandar

With the country now under emergency rule and PKP at the same time, school learning sessions are disrupted. For those who live in the KPK area, the learning aspect is done entirely online until an unspecified period. Today, the Ministry of Education Malaysia announced that the digital version of the school textbook can be downloaded for free.

This is an interesting initiative because the cost of buying a textbook is the highest when the child starts a new school session. Only we realize when accessing the application, so far only secondary school books are offered without any primary school textbooks.

Users only need to download the KPM e-Textbook Reader application developed by Perbadanan Kota Buku. The same textbooks can be accessed through the portal. https://textbook.moe.gov.my/login

Goldfish

by: Nia Amira Najwa binti Azmi

The goldfish (Carassius auratus) is a freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae of order Cypriniformes. It is commonly kept as a pet in indoor aquariums, and is one of the most popular aquarium fish. Goldfish released into the wild have become an invasive pest in parts of North America.

Native to East Asia, the goldfish is a relatively small member of the carp family (which also includes the Prussian carp and the crucian carp). It was first selectively bred for color in imperial China more than 1,000 years ago, and several distinct breeds have since been developed. Goldfish breeds vary greatly in size, body shape, fin configuration, and coloration (various combinations of white, yellow, orange, red, brown, and black are known).

Various species of carp (collectively known as Asian carp) have been bred and reared as food fish for thousands of years in East Asia. Some of these normally gray or silver species have a tendency to produce red, orange or yellow color mutations; this was first recorded in imperial China, during the Jin dynasty (266–420).

During the Tang dynasty (AD 618–907), it was popular to raise carp in ornamental ponds and water gardens. A natural genetic mutation produced gold (actually yellowish orange) rather than silver coloration. People began to selectively breed the gold variety instead of the silver variety, keeping them in ponds or other bodies of water. On special occasions at which guests were expected, they would be moved to a much smaller container for display.

By the Song dynasty (AD 960–1279), the selective domestic breeding of goldfish was firmly established. In 1162, the empress of the Song Dynasty ordered the construction of a pond to collect the red and gold variety. By this time, people outside the imperial family were forbidden to keep goldfish of the gold (yellow) variety, yellow being the imperial color. This is probably the reason why there are more orange goldfish than yellow goldfish, even though the latter are genetically easier to breed. The occurrence of other colors (apart from red and gold) was first recorded in 1276.[citation needed]

During the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), goldfish also began to be raised indoors, which permitted selection for mutations that would not be able to survive in ponds. The first occurrence of fancy-tailed goldfish was recorded in the Ming Dynasty. In 1603, goldfish were introduced to Japan. In 1611, goldfish were introduced to Portugal and from there to other parts of Europe.

During the 1620s, goldfish were highly regarded in southern Europe because of their metallic scales, and symbolized good luck and fortune. It became a tradition for married men to give their wives a goldfish on their first anniversary, as a symbol for the prosperous years to come. This tradition quickly died, as goldfish became more available, losing their status. Goldfish were first introduced to North America around 1850 and quickly became popular in the United States.

Goldfish are popular pond fish, since they are small, inexpensive, colorful and very hardy. In an outdoor pond or water garden, they may even survive for brief periods if ice forms on the surface, as long as there is enough oxygen remaining in the water and the pond does not freeze solid. Common, London and Bristol shubunkins, jikin, wakin, comet and some hardier fantail goldfish can be kept in a pond all year round in temperate and subtropical climates. Moor, veiltail, oranda and lionhead can be kept safely in outdoor ponds year-round only in more tropical climates and only in summer elsewhere.

Compatible fish include rudd, tench, orfe and koi, but the last require specialized care. Ramshorn snails are helpful by eating any algae that grows in the pond. Without some form of animal population control, goldfish ponds can easily become overstocked. Fish such as orfe consume goldfish eggs.

Ponds small and large are fine in warmer areas (although it ought to be noted that goldfish can "overheat" in small volumes of water in the summer in tropical climates). In frosty climes, the depth should be at least 80 centimeters (31 in) to preclude freezing. During winter, goldfish become sluggish, stop eating and often stay on the bottom of the pond. This is normal; they become active again in the spring. Unless the pond is large enough to maintain its own ecosystem without interference from humans, a filter is important to clear waste and keep the pond clean. Plants are essential as they act as part of the filtration system, as well as a food source for the fish. Plants are further beneficial since they raise oxygen levels in the water.

BTS’s Japanese Single ‘Film Out’ Reflects On the Bitterness of Nostalgia

 by: Hanis Sophia

BTS's second Japanese digital single, "Film Out," was released on April 1.
The song will be reissued as the opening track on their fourth Japanese compilation album, "BTS, THE BEST," which will be published on June 16.

Numerous of BTS's Japanese songs have been described as lyrical, with many hidden meanings and sincere themes. They are frequently gloomy; “Film Out” is one example. “Film Out” fits this characterization perfectly, since it is a sad ballad song, yet still feels dreamy.

With their individual interpretations, all seven members communicate the sentiments of the song, and their harmonisation matches well with the tone of the song. Every member's voice is brimming with colours and emotions, revealing an intimate and raw aspect of themselves. It makes listeners feel vulnerable while listening.

The term "Film Out" alludes to film cameras. When a camera reaches the maximum number of exposures on a film roll, the film is exhausted and must be processed in order to get the images that were taken. Because a film roll has a limited number of exposures, individuals do their hardest to snap the greatest photos possible to record the most beautiful moments in life.

Unfortunately, because the exposures ultimately run out, not every moment can be caught.
The term also suggests that the film roll's capacity has been surpassed, and all that remains are the memories contained within the film roll. However, another interpretation of the song title is that a person should not restrict himself since they would lose out on the essential and beautiful things in life because life is made up of possibilities.

ungkook contributed to the composition of the lyrics of "Film Out." The lyrics express feelings of longing for someone and reminiscing about happy experiences from the past. The song is about someone who can't let go of the other person because the other person still lives within them, and about hanging onto memories of the past despite the agony. The other person's imagination is still so vivid that it feels as if they are present, and the only thing that can be done is collect the memories to watch them projected across the room. The lyrics allude to the filming and editing processes. A video is made up of several sequences, b-rolls, and snippets. However, throughout the editing process, numerous sequences are deleted and the audio is altered. The arrangement of the clips can be altered several times, and the plot can change based on how the clips are organised. This interpretation may be observed in the start of the chorus: "From all the memories stored in my heart, I collect up the ones of you, connect them together."

The graphics in the music video also help to portray an emotional tale. It properly portrays the sadness of the words, and the use of nude and neutral tones makes the music video appear like a blank sheet, highlighting the empty sensations one may have while in a gloomy mood. As the scenes go, the music video's hues shift to red and yellow. That is how it remains till the finish of the song video.
The combination of red and yellow may appear odd, but it encompasses the rest of the atmosphere by graphically expressing the song's agony. Overall, the music video is basic but stunning and visually appealing.

Many fans are aware that the music video for "Film Out" is linked to a number of other hypotheses about BTS's music videos that have previously been proposed. The most popular idea is that Jin is time travelling in order to help save the other members, and this theory looks to be correct when examining closer into the music video.

Jin stands in the other room, keeping an eye on the other members, but as soon as he snatches the hourglass, they start to vanish. Jin glances back to the other room as Jungkook fades away, and papers begin to explode violently into the room through the windows, producing a shambles. This is the scene in which the music video turns red and yellow. The shambles that resulted are a mirror of the repercussions of attempting to alter things in the past. This is related to the butterfly effect idea, which states that every attempt to modify the past has a ripple effect that might have a significant impact on the future.

The hourglass, which has long been connected with time, appears in several sequences throughout the music video, leading many to believe that there was an attempt to turn back time to rescue what was once lost. However, the sand in the hourglass signifies the reality that time may run out, and it looks like Jin is running out of time to achieve what he wants to do.

There's also a scenario in which J-Hope and Suga mirror each other in a desolate setting.
Mirrors have a reputation for acting as gateways to another realm. This could only indicate that there exist parallel worlds, and Jin has attempted to visit each one in order to save the other six members. his is demonstrated in the music video, as Jin runs for the door and opens it, only to find himself standing on a floating rock with many other doors hanging in the sky, showing that other worlds existed all along. At the end of the music video, Jin is shown walking back to where he started and looking into the other room — standing on the other side, V is seen mirroring him.

“Film Out” has charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in three countries: the United States, Japan, and Korea. The song also remained at the top of the Japanese music charts, where it has remained since its debut. It also topped the iTunes list in 99 different countries and garnered the most views in the first 24 hours compared to any other BTS music video. However, the success of "Film Out" does not stop there, and the song can certainly expect to achieve great things in the future.

BTS's fourth Japanese compilation album, "BTS, THE BEST," will be released on June 17. Fans may also look forward to BTS FESTA, an event in which BTS commemorates their formation anniversary for 10-14 days. The celebration generally begins in early June, leading up to the anniversary date, and this year will be its ninth year. Fans can look forward to a slew of exclusive music and material created only for them.

Here Are 5 iPhone Tricks That Will Make Every Apple User’s Life A LOT Easier!

 Written by Nanthini Suresh

These days, if you ask your family or friends for the trusted smartphone brand of their choice, many of them would say Apple’s iPhone is their main option.

Designed as a user-friendly product, the iPhone is equipped with various attractive features.

Unfortunately, not many people are aware of how to fully utilise some of the iPhone’s most useful features and tricks. Here are some of the best ones!

1.Spacebar Can Be A Trackpad

It is so tricky whenever we mistype a word and have to backtrack to the single character that we want to delete in the word. But did you know that you can delete some words or letters using only the spacebar?

This spacebar function can be a trackpad that makes it easier for individuals to delete only the necessary parts without messing with other words.

How to do it:

-Identify the word or letter you want to delete.

-Press the spacebar for a few seconds, and it will appear as black space, and you can move your finger like a cursor.

-Move left or right depending on where you want to delete.

2. Set a timer for listening to music

Many of us like to listen to music before we head to bed. But no one likes having to wake up again when you are about to fall asleep just to turn off your songs. Thankfully, with this function, all you have to do is set a timer on your smartphone for how long you want to listen to music and it will automatically stop when the timer goes off.

How to do it:

-Open ‘Clock’
-Click on ‘Timer’
-Set how long you want the song to play.
-Click on the ‘When Timer Ends’
-Select ‘Stop Playing’ and press “Start.”

3. Accelerate Battery Charging

In a hurry to go somewhere fast but running low on battery? Switch to ‘Airplane Mode’ and charge as usual. This doubles the speed of charging and your phone should be good to go in no time!

4. Hide your private photos

Every now and then, we find ourselves in situations where we have to hand our phones over to someone else. Whether it be to check the time or to share a funny photo. But not all photos are meant to be shared with others. If you have a private collection of images that you never want to show anyone else, this function will be useful to you.  The iPhone lets you hide your most personal pictures through the Hide function.

All you have to do is enter Photos, select one or more images, then tap the Share button and choose Hide. As the confirmation message says, your desired pictures will disappear from every location in your library, but you’ll still be able to see them in the Hidden album within your Albums.

5. Set emergency SOS

If you’re ever in an emergency situation that requires you to respond fast, the iPhone can be set to send an emergency call. Scroll down to Emergency SOS, enable Auto Call, and Call with Side Button. Pressing the power button five times or pressing and holding power and volume up or down will make an emergency call immediately.

These are the three best free programs to back up your files

By: Megat Harris Iskandar

Your hard drive gives up the ghost, your files are hijacked by ransomware or there’s a fire at home. None of these scenarios seem particularly immediate and yet you still have to be prepared for them.

Backing up data regularly is quite a nuisance, but you can make your life a little easier with special backup programs and you don’t even have to pay for them.

The backup tools integrated in Windows and MacOS are adequate, but they are not as good as the best third-party programs, according to testers from German consumer watchdog Stiftung Warentest, who recently compared 13 such solutions.

These programs automatically back up the desired files to a hard drive or a USB stick – and some will also encrypt the files in your cloud.

The testers said three free Windows solutions provide a solid backup service free of charge:

·         Paragon Backup & Recovery Community Edition

·         Aomei Backupper 6.0 Standard Edition

·         EaseUS Toto Backup Free 12.5

Both the backup tool built into Windows 10 and Time Machine integrated into MacOS performed less well, but also delivered reliable backups. Experts advise against creating a backup on an internal hard drive, as the files are usually lost if the computer or hard drive breaks.

You're better off using an external 2.5in hard drive cheaper or an SSD hard drive faster that is disconnected from the PC after each backup. In any case, the drive should have a USB 3 port, which is much faster than USB 2.

It also pays to keep a backup outside of your own four walls, for example with relatives or friends, as this means not everything will be lost if there's fire or water damage.

According to the experts, USB memory sticks are only your second-best option. They are not as robust as hard drives, often have a shorter lifespan, transfer files much more slowly and are more easily to lose.

Meet Aniqah, The Malaysian Teen Who Paints Elegant Batik Designs On Skateboards

By : Husna Hysham

Skateboarding is a pretty new sport with a small community of skaters in the different states of Malaysia. As it is still a male-majority sport, the designs on some of the skateboard decks are quit intense. With flames, skeletons or just plain colour.

However, a teen by the name of Aniqah Shahmi felt like she needed something closer to home, so she painted her very own batik skateboard deck.

Aniqah, said that she loves batik and just thinking about the creative design makes her feel happy. As it was something that evoked a sense of joy in her, she wanted to share that with everyone through her art. Up until now, she has painted three batik skateboards.

At first, it took a week for Aniqah to finish a deck but since she has improved and learned from trial and error, it now only takes her four days to complete a deck. The deck is also for sale, however, Aniqah recommends it as more of an art decor piece.
