recorded 3,744 new cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total to 424,376
cases so far. Of that number,
seven were cases of imports that got infected from abroad.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah said, Selangor continued to record the highest daily cases of 1,548 cases, followed by Kelantan (480 cases) Sarawak (419 cases), Kuala Lumpur (313 cases), and Johor (292 cases).
He explained that a total of 2,304 patients were cured, making a total of 389,846 cases.
Meanwhile, the total number of active cases in the country has now reached 32,939.
In the past 24 hours as well, the country recorded an additional 17 new deaths bringing the total number of deaths to 1,591.
A total of 328 patients were in the intensive care unit (ICU) and of that number, 185 people needed respirator assistance.
